From a private collection.
A stunning example of what Scotland has to offer, this beautiful calcite specimen from the famous Strontian Lead mines contains burnt orange calcite crystals on a grey/white and very pale blue calcite base. This piece reacts very well under UV light, causing the base to fluoresce and the orange to turn green. This almost stayed with us, as its a truly wonderful specimen and so interesting to look at.
Every effort is made to photograph the crystals as accurately as possible, but please allow for slight variations in colour. We do not edit or use filters on our photos, we only photograph in natural daylight. Some materials however, photograph differently to how they look with the naked eye.
